T-38 TALON
The T-38 Talon is a high-altitude, twin-engine supersonic jet trainer mainly used by Air Education and Training Command for undergraduate pilot and pilot instructor teaching. It has room for two: an instructor and student. The aircraft requires only 2,300 feet of runway for take off and can reach 30,000 feet from sea level in one minute.
The T-38 Talon was manufactured by the Northrop Corporation, now Northrop Grumman, and it was introduced to service in 1961. The aircraft can reach Mach 1.08 at sea level and its ceiling is above 55,000 feet. Its range is 1,000 miles. Variants of the T-38 include the T-38A, AT-38A, DT-38A, and T38-C.
