F404
The F404 is an afterburning turbofan engine with 11,000 lbf thrust (17,700 lbf with afterburner). It was developed by General Electric for the F/A-18 Hornet and introduced in 1980. Other platforms that feature the F404 include the T-50 Golden Eagle and the F-117 Nighthawk.
