EA-6B PROWLER
The EA-6B Prowler is a twin-engine, electronic warfare aircraft used to protect fleet surface units and other aircraft by jamming enemy radar and communications. It can fire anti-radiation missiles (ARM), like the Shrike and HARM. A pilot and three Electronic Countermeasures Officers man the aircraft.
The EA-6B Prowler was manufactured by Grumman, which is now Northrop Grumman, and it was introduced to service in 1971. The aircraft can reach Mach .99 and its service ceiling is 37,600 feet.
